Innisfil's graffiti problem needs to be tagged, according to councillor Dan Davidson.

Responding to a request from South Simcoe Police, town council has asked municipal staff to investigate the feasibility of implementing a bylaw aimed at cracking down on graffiti.

"Police have indicated that a municipal bylaw would assist them in dealing with graffiti," said Davidson, while discussing the issue at a recent council meeting.

But others say a graffiti bylaw would be redundant.

"This request will be covered, probably (at the July 8 council meeting), with a new property standards bylaw," said councillor Bill Pring.
