Tractor trailer tips over
      On Tuesday August 18, South Simcoe Police officers were called to Yonge Street, between the 10th and 11th lines of Bradford for a tractor trailer cab that had entered a ditch. The driver, a 43-year-old man from Toronto, was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries. No contact was made with any other vehicle on the road.

      The Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council advises consumers to be cautious of dealer advertisements that may offer 'Cash for Clunkers'. In Ontario, dealer advertising that leads consumers to believe they will receive a rebate is considered a misleading and deceptive practice.

Crime Stoppers clears 15 cases
      During the month of July, Crime Stoppers of Simcoe- Dufferin-Muskoka received 225 calls. These calls assisted police in the clearance of 15 cases involving theft, possession of stolen property, narcotic and several other Criminal Code offences.

Impaired residents arrested
      Driver caught swerving around barriers On Saturday evening, South Simcoe Police officers were monitoring the Bradford Carrot Fest and pulled over a car driving around barriers on the roadway. Officers investigated the driver and found he was intoxicated. The 47-year-old Bradford man was arrested and taken for breath tests, which were in excess of the legal limit.
