Snowdogs hit the links at annual golf tournament
      Rick Earhart has witnessed a dramatic improvement in his son's social and skating skills. Last year, Rick registered his five-year-old autistic son Ben for the Innisfil Snowdogs special needs hockey team. Ben has since learned to skate and handle a puck, and has made plenty of friends.

Wolfpack bantams victorious in provincials
      As the lacrosse provincial weekend drew near, the Innisfil coaching staff, lead by JD Smithson, focused the team on utilizing strong defensive skills and instilled in the ability to stay calm in all situations. These two important elements would play a key role in the Innisfil Wolfpack Bantam C team's successful provincial lacrosse championship run.

Coaches get federal funding
      The federal government announced funding for the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association last week. "Our government is proud to provide funding to the CCAA for its Female Apprentice Coach Program, which will help develop female coaches in Canada and provide our athletes with the leadership and support they need to succeed," said Minister of State Gary Lunn.
