Welcoming scuba diving restrictions

As a resident of Innisfil, I welcome any changes that can be made to curtail the divers monopolizing the town dock at the end of the 30th Sideroad.

Town councillor Rob Boynton is concerned that local residents will be targeted by parking restrictions, although at present most evenings it is being used by visiting divers.

I have packed up the car with the kids and fishing gear many times, and gone to the dock only to find that not only are the parking spots gone, but the road is blocked with vehicles.

The divers then proceed to take up more of the road space and dock with their gear and mats so they can change in and out of their suits.

Having parking restrictions will, in my opinion, encourage more local residents to use the dock because they will have a better chance of accessing it.

Boynton stated that no one owns the dock, does this include the divers? It seems that they currently do.
