Damage done in Estates of Alcona area

After reading an article in a recent edition of The Scope, regarding residents being up in arms about the walkways and the trouble they will bring to the Estates of Alcona area, I do agree with what will happen.

I live on Jack Crescent and have seen the problems that come with people taking a shortcut through the subdivision.

Newly planted trees have been broken in half, postal boxes are tipped over, ornaments are stolen and cars are broken into on a regular basis. This happens so much that people are putting up external video cameras to help deter crime, without much success.

Maybe they should look at building only cul-de-sacs with one main road, giving only the residents that live there reason to be in the area.

Larry Batten,

Alcona
