Nantyr students spinning Friday
      Nantyr Shores students will be spinning for a cause later this week. The sixth annual Spin 4 Kids fundraiser will take place at Nantyr Shores Secondary School Nov. 6, from 2 to 10 p.m. The event is expected to raise about $30,000 for Royal Victoria Hospital's Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Care Centre. Since the event began, the school has raised $140,000.

      Johnny Karakostas can still remember the fateful day 25 years ago, when he first travelled to Innisfil. At the time, Karakostas was working as a courier, and delivering a package to the town's mayor. He loved the town, and its people, immediately.

Light Up Night nearing
      Cookstown is getting ready to celebrate on Nov. 13, and everyone is invited to attend. Cookstown’s annual Light Up Night will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. This event draws crowds of about 20,000 people. This year, participants will get to see storefront decorations, roving carolers, and lighting displays.
