Take a tougher stance on China
      I read York-Simcoe MP Peter Van Loan's column, entitled 'Cherishing Canada's freedom and democracy', in the Nov. 11 edition of the Scope, with a disgusted snort. Anyone can wax eloquent about past victories over tyrannies that are no longer a danger.

A vote for Van Loan makes sense
      It has been slightly entertaining watching Syd Lucas and John Trotter debate back and forth through local newspapers in a Liberal vs. Conservative debate. I have comments on the issue, though it should be said that I am apathetic toward all politics.

Town should worry about its own growth plans
     The Scope's article on water plant expansion plans (Nov. 18) leaves me puzzled, as it thought that the town should be trying to plan for growth to the Innisfil Heights area, not Bradford.
