     In light of the earthquake in Haiti, Holy Cross Catholic School students organized the Helping Haiti with Change fundraiser. Students earned $825 over a one week period. The money will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross.

Composer running workshop
      South Simcoe Arts Council's third annual choral workshop will take place at the Gibson Centre in Alliston April 10. This year, the workshop will be run by clinician and composer Nancy Telfer, and pianist Terry Therien, from 9:20 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission is $30, and includes a light lunch, snacks and water. The registration deadline is Feb. 12.
